Please Join Me in Saying Thanks

Defending Those Who Defend Life

June 29, 2009

Dear reader,

This past week 19 pro-life Democrats, including Pro-Life Women’s Caucus member Kathy Dahlkemper (D-PA), sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to call for an explicit ban on taxpayer funding for abortion in health care reform legislation.

These pro-life leaders need our support and gratitude. Please write them today and thank them for standing up for the cause of Life, against their own party leadership.

With a pro-abortion majority in the House and Senate, we need the votes and voices of every pro-life Member of Congress, regardless of party. Their leadership is needed in the debate over health care reform to ensure that our tax dollars do not pay for abortions through government-run health care.

Protecting women and the unborn should not be a partisan issue – it’s a matter of basic human rights. That’s why its so important to support those pro-life leaders who boldly place principle before politics.

Please join me in thanking the Pro-Life Democrats who are leading the fight to protect unborn boys and girls from Nancy Pelosi’s pro-abortion agenda.

Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of the unborn boys and girls!

A pro-life ______? Who knew!

All political and/or moral philosophies have a common thread of pacifism. This states that it is generally wrong to harm another person. "Person" here refers to a member of your moral community.

Some philosophies have a small moral community, often restricted to one race, creed, nationality, or religion. Others expand their moral community to all living things (though they often ignore the fact that a living thing can be a non-animal). Another philosophy falls somewhere in between, stating that each species is its own moral community, and that every organism has a moral obligation towards its own kind.

Another thing that makes moral philosophies is how lax they are on the "generally wrong to harm another person". Sometimes, violence is allowed if it supports some kind of greater good. Sometimes, violence is never justified.

Sometimes, "harm" is defined very narrowly to physical harm. Sometimes, emotional abuse is thrown in. Still other ideologies (such as communism) see economic exploitation and/or denial of basic services (police, fire station, health care) as a form of harm.

Whichever one of these you subscribe to, the common thread of "do no harm" is there. But what defines a philosophy such as left/right, libertarian/authoritarian is not the scope of the moral community, but the scope of "generally wrong" and "harm". The definition of "person" is more or less up to the individual. Whatever the scope of the moral community, that determines the definition of "person". The definition of "person", combined with the scope of "generally wrong" and "harm", is then plugged into the combining thread of pacifism to determine the application of a belief system.

Because of this, the anti-prenaticide position is compatible with any belief system. This is why you see such groups as Democrats for Life of America, Libertarians for Life, Feminists for Life, the Society of Pro-Life Agnostics and Secular Humanists, the Atheist and Agnostic Pro-Life League, the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians, and others.

Safford v. Redding

The Supreme Court ruled the strip search of the 13-year-old girl based on hearsay that she had Advil unconstitutional. This is truly a historic day.

Now, what shall we do about Thomas?...

Pro-Life Laws Save Lives

Keep Taxpayer Funded Abortions out of D.C.!

June 25, 2009

Dear chris,

Taxpayer-funding for abortion in the District of Columbia is one step closer to reality today.

Just a few hours ago, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government approved President Obama’s decision to weaken the Dornan Amendment, a long-standing prohibition against the use of your tax dollars to pay for abortions in the District of Columbia. Fortunately there is still time to make a change.

Click here and contact your Representatives today. Tell them to restore the Dornan Amendment before the full House votes on this bill.

Why does this matter? Put simply, laws save lives. When the government isn’t subsidizing abortion on demand, we see fewer abortions.

Even the other side recognizes this. The Alan Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, routinely issues reports showing that when public funding is not available, we see 30% fewer abortions among women who are eligible for Medicaid. That means at least 30% of babies whose mothers receive government subsidized health care survive because of abortion funding restrictions like the Dornan Amendment.

This is why it is so important that you act now to oppose today’s weakening of the Dornan Amendment! We can still save the lives of the precious unborn children of the District of Columbia.

Conservative estimates say repealing the Dornan Amendment will result in 1,000 more abortions each year.

Please act now! Click here and tell your Representatives to protect laws that save lives!

I urge you to consider forwarding this e-mail to as many friends and family members you can.

Thank you all that you do for the unborn boys and girls!

Nixon

A biracial coworker (okay, friend online) just told me that they just released tape of Nixon saying that interracial relations are one of the "times when an abortion is necessary". He then, when prompted, basically said "Oh, yeah. And rape."

I checked. He's right.
Oh, and did I mention it's his birthday?

I also thought you'd like this.

The Summer Wish List

Protect the Unborn Today!

June 23, 2009
Dear subscriber,

We have been telling you it's coming and now it is here. Congress has begun the budget process to decide how your money will be spend. And the abortion lobby is working hard to get its hands on your money.

have The abortion summer wish list includes using your tax dollars to pay for abortions in the District of Columbia, folding mandatory abortion coverage into health care, and removal of key prohibitions on taxpayer funding for abortion. All of this is in addition to a radical agenda that includes confirmation of extreme, pro-abortion Dawn “Pregnancy is Slavery” Johnsen, new regulations to fund embryo-destructive stem cell research with your tax dollars, and even more funding for the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood.

Please click here now to donate whatever you can to help us defend the unborn boys and girls from this radical pro-abortion agenda.

The Susan B. Anthony List has been at the front lines of the battle to defend the unborn boys and girls and their mothers. We have worked closely with the Pro-Life Women’s Caucus, helping them to fight the funding of Abortions in D.C. on the floor of the House. Thousands of our members, like you, have sent letters to Congress asking them to stop sending our tax dollars to the abortion industry. Lastly, we have been defending Life on the radio, in print, as well as through social media networks like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

More than ever, we need to keep the pressure on our elected Representatives to defend unborn life!

We need your help to help spread the word today! Please click here to donate so we can continue to reach more Americans and keep the pressure on Congress!
Thank you for your devotion and hard work in defending the unborn boys and girls!

Life Sentences

The mother died in this case, so there's already a life sentence. Adding another wouldn't do much (besides adding more sentences to appeal/parole). However, we still must fight for an Oregon fetal homicide law for the next time when the mother survives.

Oregon FTL

A woman was killed by another woman who cut her child out of her and tried to pass the baby off as her own. Yes, again.

Unfortunately, the child died this time. However, justice cannot be served for the child due to the fact that it cannot be proven that the child of 8 months gestation took a breath before he died.

OMG Obama killed a fly!

Because I find the whole media pouncing on the president swatting a fly to show just how shallow a vapid they are (okay, because it's and excuse to reuse my PETA tag), I would like so say...

Nobody cares. Get over it; it's tjust a stupid fly!

Our Three Dimensions

Sometimes I am aggravated by the fact that we are limited to three spatial dimensions.

Were we to go merely one dimension up, we could graph complex functions, we could have double rotations, we could have a d600, we could have Klien bottles, and we would have one more degree of freedom overall.

Burkkas or Underwear?

Republicans claim Liberal foreign policy will lead to Shariah Law. This is often portrayed as women forced to wear burkkas, which would, of course, limit liberty. But is this really any worse than being forced to wear clothes in the first place?

Clothes are great for protection from the elements, but the social stigma (or at least the laws) against nudity have got to go. Ban exposed thumbs and you violate the First Amendment. Ban exposed genitals and everyone's okay with it for some reason.

It's perhaps the most pervasive element of Religious Law.

I will be starting a proper pwnage series as soon as Windows Movie Maker will export the [freaking] files. I have two videos ready to go but still in .MSWMM format.

Any tips? The files are all accessible and there's enough disk space, though it does randomly pause in preview.

Durr... it's medical!

Describing abortion as a "legal medical procedure" does nothing for it. So is circumscision. But both are performed on nonconsenting parties.

I also had someone say that doctors take an oath to do no harm, so abortions would never be performed if the prenate was a person.

  1. This assumes oaths are unbreakable.
  2. This is an argumentum ad verecundiam.
  3. This ignores the fact that doctors are often forced to perform them (especially after Obama rescinded conscience protection).
  4. Holocaust executions were done by "doctors".

Obama's first 100 days

Obama has made uncountable steps to promote abortion and practically none to promote socialized medicine or even universal healthcare. As a socialist, I am disappointed by what the Republicans promised we'd get from Obama.

Insubordination

As I discussed before, public schools are much more reactionary than a publicly funded institution should be. Students are trained to not stand up against injustices that don't involve them. Another example is the offense of "insubordination". Let me break that word down:

in: no, not
sub: below, under, lower, beneath
ordin: rank, class
ation: act, state

The act or state of not belonging to a lower rank or class.
Equality. How terrible!

URGENT: House to Allow the Promotion of Abortion Abroad

June 9, 2009

Dear supporter,

Earlier this year, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Congress that she believes that reproductive rights are a fundamental policy goal and that abortion is a reproductive right.

Under Clinton’s leadership at the State Department, the newly created Office of Global Women’s Issues will carry out her vision by advancing the legalization of abortion in pro-life nations around the world.

This means that your tax dollars will help promote pro-abortion laws in countries around the world, particularly in the Third World.

Americans should respond to women's needs in foreign countries with real assistance that upholds their dignity, not by promoting or paying for abortions.

Please tell your representative to vote No on the State Authorization bill!

Pro-Life hero, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), tried to offer an amendment that would prohibit the Office of Global Women’s Issues from promoting abortion, but the pro-abortion majority on the Rules Committee blocked this amendment from ever reaching the House floor.

Alice Paul, an early feminist, once said that "Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women."

We must not allow Secretary Clinton to exploit vulnerable women and children by spreading abortion in other countries.

Please contact representative today and tell them that we cannot export abortion overseas. Tell them to vote against the State Authorization bill.

Thank you for all you do for the unborn boys and girls around the world!

Bourgeois Media

This is my third post on the media's biased coverage of the mediaa's biased coverage of the Tiller assassination. And I realized the reason.

I only have to pst once a day. News channels have to fill 24 hours. And they pick the most sensational angle because it gets viewers and, by extention, money.

This is just another place where quality of product is diminished by capitalism. You could make it out of metal, or you could make it out of cheap plastic and they'll buy another when it breaks. Which would you do? You could pay up, or you could take their money and deny all of their insurance claims. Which would you do?

Appeals to emotion

Coathangers and difficult choices do not a justified homicide make.

Imagine a news story. A poor man kills his daughter for the insurance money. Is this justified? No. Does the distress lessen the offense to manslaughter? Yes*. Does he deserve social services? Yes.

Imagine another news story. Man rapes woman. Woman fights back. Man gets AIDS from woman.

Now, the man fears he'll get arrested if he he goes to the hospital. The wounds get infected and he dies. This death could've been prevented had rape been legal and regulated. Yet do we decry the anti-rape laws? Do we say rape should be legal?

No.

*Depending on how good his lawyer is.

MSNBC

Ah, don't you just luuurve the media's selective reality?

MSNBC just did a segment on the investigation of Tiller's assassination. In an example of how fair and balanced they are, they did not bring a guest from the pro-life movement to explain how the entire movement is abhorred by the murder. No, they bring on a Roebot who likens pro-lifers to the KKK and says we have a "totalitarian impulse".

Tiller is "an innocent man".
The Pill's abortifacient properties is handwaved by saying the pill helps women.
Anything is justified as long as it is a hard choice.
The unborn apparently don't exist, and neither does the mainstream pro-life movement.
The argument is between the pro-choice and the anti-abortion (or even the "anti-choice").
The pro-life movement is incredibly violent.
The pro-life movement is NOT less violent than the civil rights movement.
The number of late-term babies killed yearly is
NOT a thousand times the number of abortionists killed in the last 3 dozen years.

This [crap] is borderline slander/libel.

Friday, June 5, 2009

On a more casual note

The taboo against nudity harms the suspension of disbelief if the "naughty bits" are always hidden by some convenient object. It also leads to any joke becoming funny if you reference the human body.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Bourgeios School

Despite being publically funded, and therefore a glimmer of socialism in this vast swamp of capitalism, America's school system is nothing but mini-capitalism.

Students are treated as no more than tools of the system, machines to do work. Individuality is discouraged in favor of mindless obediance. Productivity over people. "Be productive" over "Have a nice day". The students are the proletariat and the faculty are the bourgeiosie.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

Indecent Exposure

Laws against nudity are expressly religious in nature, curtail liberty, and have no secular purpose. The purpose of the law is to protect the populus from violence and exploitation, and to provide basic services such as police, fire, health care, etc., not to protect the delicate sensibilities of the populus.

If there was a law against gay couples holding hands in public, or a law against purple socks, there wouldn't be such support for it.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Come on!

When will it stop? Every time this happens, pro-life groups condemn it. The criminals aren't associated with the mainstream pro-life movement, and this particular one seems to have had a mental disorder.

Monday, June 1, 2009

Spotlight Fallacy

The attention garnered by the assassination of George Tiller is proof of its abnormality. If this sort of thing was common it wouldn't be news.
